MIDWEST DIVISION POLICIES
A. Children under 18 years of age, accompanied by a MWD member, will be admitted to regular MWD meetings free of charge. Spouses, companions, and children of MWD members over the age of 18 are eligible to become "Family Members" upon payment of an annual $5.00 family membership fee. Parents will be responsible for actions of and any damages caused by their children.
B. Trains and only train-related items are to be displayed at the Midwest Division Meets. The officers running the meet shall have the final decision as to what may or may not qualify.
C. Members attending Division meetings must wear their membership badge and/or identification wristband.
D. All display tables are required to have a name card to identify the member owning the display/sales items.
E. Each MWD TCA member (not family member) will be allowed one table at all Midwest Division Meets subject to availability. Family members and guests are not entitled to display/sale tables.
F. TCA Registration-Identification Tags are to be affixed to any refinished item brought into a TCA sponsored meeting. In the event of controversy as to an item actually being refinished or not, the decision of the officers running the meet is final.
G. All items, not for sale, must be marked “DISPLAY ONLY” or “FOR TRADE ONLY”. All items for sale must be marked with the price, if the price is over $1.00.
H. Unpacking will be allowed up to ¼ hour before the scheduled start of a meet. Items unpacked must be covered with a sheet, blanket, or other suitable covering (no newspaper). Absolutely no trading is to take place before the start of any Midwest Division sponsored meet.
I. The officers running the meet may clear the hall before start of the meet.
J. The MWD Meet Rules are part of this Policy.
K. The MWD Fiscal Year should coincide with the National TCA Fiscal Year.
CHAPTER RULES
A. All Midwest Division Rules will apply at Midwest Division Chapter meets.
B. Midwest Division Chapters may not schedule meets on the same day as Midwest Division meets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF OFFICERS
A. Officers are to be at meets at least one hour before the scheduled starting time or as otherwise determined by the Board of Directors.
B. Registration Table will be opened no later than one hour before the scheduled start of the meet.
C. All members of the Board of Directors will observe meets for badges or other rule compliance and will assist Sergeants-at-Arms as necessary.
Midwest Division TCA Meet Rules
1. Members attending Division meets must wear a Membership badge/wristband

4. Guest fee is $5.00 per meet (three consecutive months only).
5. Only trains and train related items are to be displayed at Midwest Division meets. The decision of the officers running the meet as to qualifications of any item shall be final.

12. The officers running the meet may, at their discretion, clear the hall at any time prior to the start of the meet.
Election Rules (Ballot Policy and Procedure)
A. All votes in the election for Midwest Division Board of Directors shall be on offcial ballots, pre-numbered by the printer. The election ballots shall be sequentially numbered with a randomly selected starting number. The number of ballots printed shall not exceed the number of Midwest Division members in good standing.
B. All ballots shall be mailed to members in good standing, in the month of April.
C.The ballots shall counted at the May meet by a committee which shall include, but not limited to, two (2) past Presidents of the Midwest Division, who are not current members of the Board of Directors.
D.The results of the election will be announced at the May meet, and printed in the next edition of the MWD newsletter. The ballots shall be available for inspection at the June meet. If there are no objections to the election results, the ballots shall be destroyed after the June meet.
E.If an objection to the election is raised, a committee shall be appointed, which shall be chaired by a Past President of the Midwest Division, who is not a current member of the Board of Directors, or was on the ballot counting committee. The committee shall report their findings to the Board of Directors after they have completed their review. The review shall be completed prior to the membership meeting which follows the meeting in which the election objection was raised.
